Evening all, looking for some advice as to when our annual leave entitlement increases.
Do you get extra days when you reach ten years service?
Or is it fifteen years?
Finally, If it has changed, has it changed recently?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Re: Annual leave entitlement?
On entry = Four and a half weeks / After 15 years = Five weeks 1 day
After 5 years = Four weeks 3.5 days / After 20 years = Six weeks
After 5 years = Four weeks 3.5 days / After 20 years = Six weeks

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Annual leave entitlement?
Not sure but a member approached me this morning claiming that a manager said it had changed from 10 to fifteen years recently, and that they had missed the 'cut off' point and would now have to wait 5 years for there extra 3 and a half days!!
Just trying to get some clarification on when it may have changed, if it changed at all!

It changed to 15 years in 2000, with the Way Forward Agreement.smileski wrote:Not sure but a member approached me this morning claiming that a manager said it had changed from 10 to fifteen years recently, and that they had missed the 'cut off' point and would now have to wait 5 years for there extra 3 and a half days!!

It's still the same entitlement now.
If your member has 5 years service, he/she should be getting 4 weeks and 1 day AL.
It will increase to 5 weeks and 1 day after 15 years.
He/she can purchase extra leave (6 weeks) though.
