always moved off duty

For the last few weeks I have been moved off my duty almost every day. i would guess I get one day a week on my own duty on average and its really starting to piss me off. There are a couple of other guys in my office who have the same problem but the majority seem to get left alone which seems unfair. Is there anything I can do. If I say anything all i really get is "operational requirements" and all that crap about how it is the only way they can get the duties covered but I think they are just picking on the same people because they know they will get the job done and not make a fuss so it is an easy option. I don't really see what I can do other that purposely do a crap job on any of the other walks I am moved to in the hope that they stop moving me. Do I have any other options?

You won't have any option apart from waiting for the next re-sign in your office. Could be within the next year, so hold on. I know its frustrating, as i have recently moved to a different office and pretty much in same boat as yourself.

I have over ten years service and just last year the office had a re-sign, now if i got in before the resign i would of had the chance of getting one of the better duties. But just got to get on with the job, by doing it properly, so i wouldn't recommend going slow.

Depending on your seniority you might be lucky to get a good duty. Just hang in there.

Phil, I had this problem too.
It seemed to me that there were certain members of staff that management didn't want to take on and others that they thought that they could jerk around on a regular basis.

In the end, I had to lose it, big time! Spat the dummy out, gave it both barrels! It did have the required effect though. Since then I've been left alone.
I really think that it is wrong though. You should not have to behave like that. Weak management. They won't confront those that they think will kick off.

You should try going down the Bullying and Harassment procedure as opposed to the grievence procedure,as it is conducted by people outside of local management and if found in your favour could result in action being taken against your manager.A case at our MC which i did not think was that bad resulted in a manager being put back as a postman and transfered to a DO.

exactly,the DIMs know if they stick me on a s**t duty then i wont work over
so im leaving mail or sending it back
so (up till now) i get left alone and less hassle
they move onto easier pickings
the guys who get shafted and work over
