It was, I am sure, suggested that there would be 2 day workshops for Reps at local level to be brought up to speed on all the aspects of the agreement and IWT, Revisions, roll out etc etc etc - well talking to some local reps, there doesn't seem to have been anything to date or even suggested - so my question is - has anyone anywhere been on these workshops and if they have, what was the duration and did they help at all.

Was told that we were all to go to a meeting reps and doms and linos some weeks back. Then turns out only doms and linos went no reps aloud. Now thats a good start..............

So are these joint workshops or just workshops for the Reps where they are told what is required to institute the changes Royal Mail want by the Div Reps? If the revision tools have been agreed, who agreed them and was there any "inclusive" negotiating and information prior to the workshops - which came first the chicken or the egg - or the agreement and then the fine print? Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed seems a pretty hollow statement in hindsight doesn't it.

The workshops next week will deal with the IWT , Geo route 2008 , Delivery productivity tool . Delivery span indicator , Traffic , Duty modelling tool and a few other delivery tools.

In terms of the revison process talks are on going.

And in my case - he isn't joking when I started Primary school, almost 60 years ago, it really was a slate and chalk not books and pencils - they came later about 7.
Arithmetic was carried out using the S'n'C for the answer and coloured sticks, a bit longer and thicker than a matchstick for working out. And they say education hasn't suffered over the decades..............................

Interesting our rep has been told he is on a workshop tomorrow but it is only for 3hours?
The DOM is cock a hoop cos the revision can then start. How can this be when all along we have been told reps will get a 2 day course to be fully conversant with delivery revisions.

Now some wag might say what takes a Div Rep 2 days to understand a Rep needs just three hours - I wonder if that will include lunch? Apparently it takes longer if you're making notes with crayons.
