The End of D2D?

Could this be the end of d2dd and free leafleting as we know it?

My local council are banning the practice of free leafleting in certain areas of the city with a view of extending the ban to a wider area if it proves successful. other councils are expressing an interest in utilising environmental legislation to curb the cost of collecting waste caused by millions of free leaflets each year

The penalty for leafleting in a banned area is a £2500 fine.

We have approcached our line manager about this and he said dont deliver any d2d in the areas where the ban exists until further notice.

Bad News

1. Less revenue for RM.
2. Less workload to be allowed for you.
3. More time to absorb.

Good News:

1. You'll probably get the Del Supplement anyway if I read the agreement right.
2. Less dead walking as bags will go further.

If it's where i think it is pick it's to stop the bar and club leaflet game and shouldn't effect us.
You can apply to the council for a license anyway.

Maybe be good for RM (and bad for us), they may find themselves the only ones who are actually delivering D2Ds (big company who are able to pay big money for licences).
