This week we have started to have to take a 20 minute meal relief before we go out. It's from 09:20 - 09:40. This means we get out at around 09:50.
No problem with this (it pisses our customers off - but what the hell that's what RM want)
The kicker today , after being on IPS until 08:00 , was that we cannot eat any food before our meal relief... i.e 09:20.
BTW; we start at 06:15.
Anyone caught eating whilst at the frame is in trouble!!!
Now , I don't know about others but I really don't want to eat just before I go out. I actually want to digest some food!!!
We are being treated like children.
In addition; We were not allowed out today until 10:30. Uncovered walks had to be thrown off. Nobody could leave until they were done.
Again; if that's the way they want to work it then fine... But I do get pissed off when people are doing D2D during that time.
Poor management indeed.

In our DO we start at 0600, we can pop off and get a cup of tea/coffee and the odd biscuit then tbh we're too busy to eat till 40 minute meal relief at 0920. I'm intrested to read that you have started to take your meal relief and that you only take 20 minutes.What did you do before? Where's the other 20 minutes?

In our DO there are vending machines on the shop floor, about 4 foot from a frame!
If they don't want you to eat and drink in a work area, then why do WE have these machines positioned here and not in the rest area?

Before; No meal relief.. Took at the end of delivery.

Its the same in my office folks are muching most of the morning. They can hold me back till 10.30 am no problem but lets see i normally get out around 8.45 and get back 13.15 so add 1hr 45 mins = 15.00 which is about a 40 min cut off, bring it on.
