As said, I refused to flex as I do not have the time to do it and I refuse to play ball with their games, I have even heard they even flexed a part timer who didn't know any better, which I consider to be a very dirty low down trick, they are now flexing every day, yes thats right, every day, not just Monday and tuesday, so they are now turning the screw by counting how many items on frame, timing me, checking what time I finish, so they can grind me into submission, instead all this would only have is the opposite effect, it would only just p1ss me off and more determined.

Did your office have a official start time in the morning. because the 0500 people love to flex . two months ago the cwu rep
had a agreement with the dom that the office doors remain closed to 05.55 .today it is a walk in early and the 0600 starters
are the baddies.

Bang in a grievance on the grounds of RM forcing you to do the job wrongly.
Ask them if they want you to :
1. Come in early for free ?
2. Not take a meal break ?
3. Carry mail in the front of the van ?
4. Jump over walls and run on delivery ?
5. Not to adhere to road traffic regulations (driving over speed limits & no seat belt) ?
6. Flick check whilst walking ?
7. Dont do D2D ?
8. No van checks ?

Ask them for all that in black & white and take them to the cleaners......the tossers :cfo

We got two Reps who is parroting the party line, work to yor time and take your breaks etc we the second one is a new eager one who has just been elected, he is learning the ropes, he is quite bolshy about it, but he is not the senior rep,
but he is puttingup a good fight and is trying to get everybody to do the job properly.

I just have to get on as best as I can and don't give away nothing, I hope the new young gun Rep will be able to pull it off.

during the check I also demanded that the Linos count the D2Ds as they are now part of your workload.

I was talking about that to the Rep and Colleague the other day, we start at 6.30am yet some come in as early as 4am we think that the door should be locked until 6.20am, as we no longer have night turn anymore, its quite feasable, yet the managers do open it up early, in spite of the official line on work as per agreement, mmm wonder why ?

best way is not to refuse to flex (or whatever) just tell them i will try my best but dont think i will complete
and that i will call them if i am not going to complete to collect the mail
then its on their backs
if you have too much mail then its their problem

as far as I am aware three more staffs are refusing to flex today and they are having their walks counted and timed their departures, if even half of the Office do it, it will have the bosses running ragged.

Im in the same boat as you buddy . well theres probably about 5 of us that,,,,,,,
come in on time,and dont start even a second early,,
dont use vehichles,,,
take our breaks,,
put d2ds together in work time,,
basicly playing the game how it should be played.
However you have the other 40 morons that are cutting corners just to fit in part of a collapsed walk,coming in early to work for nothing?!?! WTF is wrong with these people?.
Problem is this,,when your the odd one out saying I dont have time to collapse today,YOUR the one that has his walk counted,or if your lucky they'll come out,find you,and pretend to be doing a BS health and safety check.this happend to me yesterday(again,4th time now,and always when I havnt collapsed)It was pissing it down,mangeress and ass manageress sat snugly in car for 10 mins while im getting soaked .

I'm fed up of having an office that doesn't stick together,Im also fed up with a non existent union in our office,which leaves the door wide open for mangeress's to harass and bully people that are doing there job correctly into doing "compulsory"overtime.
one of our gaffers has been up against grievances so often ,its amazing how they are still in a job(probably 20+ in the last year)
Im more than happy to give a 100% attitude towards the 2010 and beyond scheme,but FFS scrap the collapsing of walks which is making gaffers bully and harrass willy nilly!.
