Do Not Re-Direct - Exempt!

Post by pinstripe »

Has anyone else seen or heard about this re-direction service.
You know the ones that WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RE-DIRECT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, well now we can, as long as the re-direction sticker has a green line through it!
I got one today and no-one knew anything about it. Surely if RM are going to change the criteria for this service they could at least tell the DOMS, Line Managers and Us!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I think the green line is for us, so we can recognise that it can be re-directed. Of course, they have to tell us about it first.

There are DNR-Exempt cards.

These items must be redirected in a Royal Mail first class envelope. The redirection label also bears a green stripe.

They ain't new, btw.

See preparing for Delivery in the Downloads forum.

These have been about for years, but you don't see many of them.

They tend to be used in liquidation cases and such like where all mail is to go to receivers/accountants etc rather than addressee.
Needs a court order to get one.

There is no need to put the redirected in a RM envelope; just put the sticker over the old address and send it on :dance

Why don't the sender just send the letter out in a normal envelope?
