the list is not exhaustive. if you or anybody else has an idea for new duty proposals, you have the right to put the proposals forward as an option and have your office vote on it.
best get it done ASAP and fire it up on the board - (on the cwu notice board) before the vote.

We have told our manager we will stick to rest weeks - everyone agrees- he thinks stay as you are is not one of the options. We pointed out that the options are only suggestions and we all get at least 1 in 4 Sats off anyway over the year with restweeks+a/l.
Haven`t heard from manager since on the matter and 1in4 Sats off is a Red Herring to bait you with. Our duties work fine using rest weeks- 10 hour shifts ect would never work in a small office without 10hours work to do.

We're recommending people stay as they are, we do the wallington, and the DOM thinks this is probably the best option.
Of course an option to stay as you are is valid, just stick it on list to vote on.

All three will have to gel for any attendance pattern to work be it wallingtons,4 day week or 9 day fortnight.

Strange because I was under the impression that all things are possible under the new regime, you know friendly chat round the table with the DOM, DSM and the Rep and without any chagrin there would be an agreement that suited everyone - then everyone wanders down the yellow brick road to the rainbow Now ft please don't shatter my delusion - and yes I have spelt the word correctly

The menu of options lits possible options for 1 in 4 Saturdays off , however the list is not exhaustive.

Yes you can stay on a wallington system or even move to a wallington plus system but the reason they are not included is that they do not produce 1 saturday off in 4 as none of the options include annual leave.

Now Fishtank is right it will depend on the arrival patterns of your work.

Has the union agreed to a compulsory 1 Sat off in 4 ? My rest weeks ( and everybody elses in my office ) works perfectly. If you do days off and a long weekend every 6th week you also average more than 1in4 when A/L is included.

So the need for a 1 in 4 Sat off isn`t in the list - so we can stay as we are - excellent.

Depends on the outcome of the preference exercise for your D.O, however you can have a mixture of different duty structures.

Big Daz can you please explain to me, like Im a 3 year old, how this pref exercise will work??

I already know some peeps in my office will state they want a 4 day week 10 hour day, but if they dont like the look of the duty when the revision is then made, they'll choose a different option/duty, that came from a high in seniority postie in my D.O.
