Hi guys
recently posted that last week i never had any d2d, was told by dom that they may been in late,but for some reason they never materalised(result thinks i).But all of a sudden this week i have 6 under the bench,including 2 heavy catalogues,so do we think royal mail held 3 over from last week because they new there be a row about delivering the late ones or is this just my suspiciouse mind at work surely, they wouldnt be so cruel

they should have dates on them so best check!
And AFAIK, next week, you should ONLY take out the d2ds for the week commencing 5/7/10 - so far, no one should have more than 4 d2ds a week, and some in your office will have less.
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Check the labels on the bundles or boxes. Ones for this coming week are marked "05/07/2010 -------/15/-" Too late now for any marked "-------/14/-" or earlier.
AFAIK we are now allowed up to 5 per week starting from tomorrow.
However, if you are only down for 3 then that is what you do. It is not up to you to
deliver the previous weeks d2d.

Erm.............wasn't there some mention of 'unlimited' door to doors with the possibility of a 'day specific' one too? Have a straw and suck it up people - you voted for it

At the moment the maximum is 4 perhousehold
On 12 July 2010 that increases to 5 per household
and then in Jan 2011 it increase to 6 or more if revisions and delivery methods are in place.
Have a pair of glasses then read and understand the agreement
From the Document called:
1.D2D sales are expected to ramp up as follows: 4 items from 7 June, 5 items from 12th July (to be confirmed) 6 items from 3rd January 2011 and thereafter greater volumes as delivery methods roll out continues and D2D automation comes on stream. The actual number of D2D contracts will vary by delivery unit depending on customer demand. To aid transition, offices that have not deployed delivery methods revisions will have to provide genuine and demonstrable solutions to any weight or volumetric issues.

I love it when people are naive enough to think that Royal Mail will stick to the deal. The point I'm trying to make is that however much we moan/groan/complain/whine about the number of d2d/live mail we get, the time for doing something about it is over. We voted yes to the deal so now we have to work with it. Here! Take a straw and suck it up!

I don't want to be picky TBT but where does it state that there will be any cap on the number of D2Ds.

To coincide with the introduction of the national agreement unit payments will cease and the 3 items per week cap will be removed.
It doesn't say that there will be a cap of 4,5 or 6 only that the increase will be managed responsibly.

The bit about phased introduction is not in the agreement you are correct but has come since as part of a joint statement on managing the transition . You are also correct that there is no upper limit to the number of D2D as indeed the agreement specifically states "uncapped".
So while there has been no joint statement regarding the introduction of D2D in excess of 6 , there is no need to panic, because when your regional weekly average of 15 D2D's per walk per week is achieved then it becomes financially viable for RM to consider introducing the sleeving machines.
it is gonna be mad next week.....here in NI we will be off mon & tue and with my day off as wednesday thats means two days to do d2d...............and very lapsing on top of that..........its gonna be just great!!!!!!!!!!

just do you daily % as normal
