Most signed for items on a 3.5 hour delivery,,?

Anyone got any extraordinary figures for signed for items (at seperate delivery points) on one round ? Just interested ,,,I know there is a limit for high value items but anyone got any ridiculous figures that lengthend the round significantly ?

Not myself but a duty at my office has in one small newly built apartments complex, 98 calls, and every one of them had a recorded delivery letter from the same company on the same day.

Probably won't be the highest you will get as a reply, but I had 8 specials and 13 Recorded a few weeks back.

In theory, this is on a walk that is deemed "part-time" and therefore doable including indoor work (finishing frame; redirections; colleacting/organising Recorded and Specials into order on daily signature form; deads; 16% D2D over six days or 20% over five days (depending on who is telling the truth in our office since new agreement kicked in last month!!!); bundling up etc. on a 4.5 hour day / 22.5 hour weekly contract including 20 minute meal relief... Yeah, right!

In reality, it averages:-
~2 hours per day to do indoor work, starting at 0800 most days.
~4.25 hours per day to do the walk and have entitled break (usually 30 minutes as shift is typically 5-6 hours long).
30-35 hour paid working week, with a whopping 22.5 hour pay for holidays, how fair!

Walk includes ~125 businesses on high street (so usually 5+ specials) and ~475 residential (with lots of rickity gates that ought to simply be scrapped!)

23 recorded and 5 sepcials a few weeks ago.

Was on the same week they weere conducting a counting exercise.

Planner was saying each delivery had an average of 6 items that needed door knocking. Rep at time wasnt buying it and asked for a count.

The sheet wasnt collected at the end of the week. I wonder why?

Theres a maximum limit pf how many specials you can take out.

I think its 8 unless its special circumstances like cup final or festival tickets.

I had a delivery of about 600 + drops a few years ago, an urban estate of mixed semi and detached properties - there had been a planning issue in which the county council became involved and there had been a petition which had been signed by the residents, husband, wife and any over 18's and each person of the houses involved received a Recorded delivery on the same day - there must have been well over 450 all A4 - of course being the work horse that I am I took about 140 houses of which about 100 had recordeds, sometimes 2,3,4, and the rest of the delivery was taken by several others on overtime. It was one of those estates where everyone worked so you can imagine how many 739s had to be written out apart from waiting at the door and by the time I left the office I had about 2 hrs 45 to get there deliver and get back. I spoke to the DOM and said why don't we just post them and take the flack after, if there is any, he said no way.

A manager followed me out and told me he had been sent because the DOM thought I was taking the p*ss, which worried me no end, I went over my time and booked the ten minutes.

59 recordeds and a special, I had to 739 48 of the recordeds. A block of flats that usually takes 40 mins took 2hrs 30. I've had 50 recordeds on my current walk before as well.

Most i've ever seen is when large blocks of student flats get built, several times i've seen them get a recorded for every flat (several hundred).

See your union rep! 8 is the max on foot...don't be fobbed off and don't try to be the hero by doing it! You will be the one who carries the can!

And it's only 8 if they are not High Value, which are nominated, definitely banks and perhaps jewellers - then it is only 5 on foot, there is also a weekly limit but I don't think any one sticks to that.

Ive done about 60 walks since I started last year and most specials i have ever had is 3, most recorded about 9
