is this flex the 1 way of stopping overtime and putting us all on a basic wage?i was down for ot today and when i went in was told it was now on flex,so no ot again.

its not flex, its called absorbing...You only absorb if your going to finish your regular duty early. How many more times will staff realise that the days of ghost overtime or finishing an hour before the duty ends is long gone....Half the time I think its a big wind up....

I come in on time and do my job as described by management and as a result - no lapsing for me but the majority of the office does, less work for me and more for them..................suckers

If they've told you to come into work on your day off to do some OT, then they pay you whether they've absorbed the duty or not. They asked you to get out your bed and go into work, so they pay you, it's very simple. They either give you something else to do or you claim the overtime and go home. If they don't pay you, see your rep. You'll get paid end of! Use your brain man! :)
