Had a few days off, got back to work today and back to sh*t loads of packets.....(aparently they had nearly none yesterday )
Not many mech bundles....and LOADS of missorts in the bundles
I also noticed a lot of 1st class mail that was date stamped 24/7 and 25/7 so the strike MUST be hurting RM....

What do you think ?
I was sure I'd seen a bead of sweat on my line manager the other day - Until I realised that he had just brushed past me too close

Agree with you about the packets and the dated first class,virtually all of it was dated the 24th only local stuff had the 25th.

Watching the dates on the first class is a good way of seeing what sort of effect we're having.Come Monday we'll be delivering mail dated 25th 26th 27th and 28th.

virtually upto date in our office. as i said in another thread strike days solidly supported but nothing to back it up. people sorting as though lives depended on it :sad:

Yesterday No Mech - just lots of manual (not all went out)

Today - Some mech (not as much as normal), even more manual (even more didn't go out)

There is starting to be a significant backlog.
IPS can't clear excessive amounts of manual mail (not enough people or space)

I'm not in Monday (day off) but if the lads have any sense it will take weeks to clear the backlog.

just been speaking to R.M. driver & 2 members of staff who work in my local Mail Centre,& they said it's a right bloody mess in Mail Centre. So as far as i am concerned all is going as it should be,& come next week it will be a right mess,just got to keep the pressure on & stay strong. WELL DONE TO EVERYONE WHO'S TURNING THE SCREW

loads hanging about with us yorkies full everywhere don't think they have got to last nights stuff yet
tough s**t really but yesterday was super light think theyv'e got a big big problem with this i.a and no urgency from sorters either have made threats of agency staff let them bring it on can't say it will make any difference anyway cause they wont know what to do :lfo :cfo

bloody chaos in our office yesterday loads of sky mags and junk mail no live mail arrived until 8am DUMs wouldnt let us leave office until it was all sorted didnt leave office until 9.20am on a rural round mass cutoffs everywhere i cutoff and brought back over a 3rd of my mail as instructed by my DUM

today not alot of live mail only a bit of intra and some more junk + cut off mail from yesterday but cleared all my mail today and finished on time
reckon there must be shitloads of mail in our exeter mail centre

really busy today not much mech all manual first class .and mailsort loads of packets .busiest day we have had for a while
2 walks on overtime even people were volunteering for the overtime .i think they got .the walks out there are talks of a few going in tomorrow.
had a meeting the other day with our rep about not going in work early .and throwing your walks off before 500am. not using cars.
i went in at 445 am. there was about 14 of them working away throwing there walks in the frame .these people really get my back up and they are union
members the same as me .while this dispute is on with our glorious leaders. i wouldnt work for 1 min of overtime for them. bollox to em :no no

This is a prime example of why we must back up our action with doing ours jobs properly, as requested in the recent CWU letter and on this site thousands of times. . . . . . . all the time we take short cuts and do extra to get through the work we are shooting ourselves in the foot and making a mockery of the strike action . . . . . I'm not suggesting anyone takes the p*ss just follow the 318, weigh your bags, get on the vans, start on time, take your breaks etc. etc.
