Can you offer up to be a Revision Rep

My question is this instead of a Delivery rep can there not be just a revision rep only which I would do , but not being a deivery rep with all the other add ons ?

In the 90.s I was on the local delivery CWU committe, and eventually went as DOR for about 2yrs overall over the space of 8ys I was quite involved which included a full table top revision with planners.
Obviously a lot has changed so my question above is can there be just a revision rep? with help also from area

I don't see why not. I was the rep in our office but the revisions were always plotted by a bloke who knew exactly what he was doing and was very good at it. The blokes or blokesses are entitled to the best and that doesn't always mean the rep. I am the first to admit that walk-plotting was not my forte and left it to an expert.

Why not see if there is a focus group that is going to be set up and get yourself on that

theres no reason you have ot be a rep to work on the new walks,is there?

That's just what we've done for our office revision, it worked quite well, as long as the DOM and planner realise you'll the one they should deal with for the day to day revision stuff, make sure you and your Rep are on the same page.
We thought it worked very well, there just isn't enough time or facility time for the Rep to do everything.

I did see the dom a few days ago, and asked about doing the revision and apparently he had also asked another postie who like me has done over 21yrs,

My first kind of run in was yesterday the dom put up menu of options for delivery spans and there were 7 different types

I had up on the board 9 but not as eloquently laid out like his, but I am hoping to try and find the link on here later
so I can print them off to take in.

Another thing my dom said was when asked, how long before the revision starts and he replied probably after january next year as they don't want to do it in our busiest times, I wonder why

Then I get another posite then askes if we are getting our 1000 so he can book his holiday up next year

Now I know why I could not be the DOR
