Nothing happening in ours ....been told that any other changes , 1/4 sat ect won`t be coming in for maybe a year , we are now getting sequenced mail so whats the hold up ?....when we ask we just get blank looks and shoulder shrugs,
Although the door to door into workload went in without any hitches 3 weeks ago

I don't think that you'll get to see these until your office gets a full revision.
Pegasus/Geo Route, new delivery methods (CDV's, HCT's etc). Three deliveries into two, job losses, full time to part time and all that.
Needless to say, I'm in no hurry to get the poisoned chalice - the new 'menu of duty options' .

Was told last week in Work Time Bullshit that our section is going to be used as a guinea pig for the Park and Loop fiasco and new way of getting shafted.
Somebody asked does that mean we will be working longer Saturdays in September when Park and Loop comes in...err yes it does...well what about these 1in 4 Saturdays off then do we get those as well?......Errr it's not been sorted out yet but you will probably have to wait until ALL the office is doing Park and Loop,probably early next year.
Yeah RM just pick the parts you want as usual, any benefit us grunts gets can wait.

Ive worked out what will and wont work in my D.O just need to go over over it with the DOM, make sure he understands it and he is happy with it, then the survey of members can go ahead.

Still dont know if we are having a planner, the DOM would like one.

In our WTL our dom likes to pick n choose what he would like us to believe,

We have not had any input unfortunatly our new rep felt he was banging his head against a brick wall as the dom was not playing by the new revsion process,

We did have our A/D Rep over last weeK with the ASR.

My question is this instead of a Delivery rep can there not be just a revision rep only which I would do , but not being a deivery rep with all the other add ons ?

The simple answer is if management dont wish to agree the 1 in 4 saturdays then dont agree the park and loop revison and call the area rep.

Remember for management to get the sign off centrally from Royal Mail they have show that the park and loop have been worked up with the CWU and staff.

you've worked out.....i thought your members were suposed to be picking the option they want from the menu.

You really think anyone is going to get any say beyond a simple preference exercise during WTL?

They will ask you to fill in a form which will vanish into the ether.

The DOM will then choose what he/she wants based on a secretly pre determined budget.

1 in 4 saturdays off is only an extra 4 saturdays off PER YEAR anyway and you'll have to do 9 day fornights or variations (knackering) of it to get em.

RM have the worst bullying culture out of any UK employer and the UK has the biggest divide in trade union officials salaries and their members wages. You think that is going to change?

The agreement was orchestrated to keep you in your place - over worked and under paid slaves to the job.

Nope, not how it works, the menu of options are examples nothing more nothing less andf that is how they shall be treated. Some of these examples will work in my D.O some wont, that is reality!! Im not going to have members choose options which I know full well just cant happen, that would be deceitful.


Please have a re read of the options document and you will see Im acting 100% within the document.


Also, you overlook that my members might come up with some further ideas or the DOM/DM might. It is our intention to ask the members to provide any other options they can think off before we send out the non binding preference survey.

You are 100% correct Daz,unfortunately some on this forum couldn't seem to or didn't want to accept the fact that outside influences would control the attendance patterns just as much if not more than the members wishes.
It's all very well sitting back saying you want a 4 day week but if it don't fit .....well it just don't fit.
