How about an invitation to her to go to an office for a week, and get her sorting, prepping, and then go out on delivery in the burning sun for 4 hours?

A week's too short a time. I'd make it all of July/August and first two weeks in September, just in case we have an Indian summer, then have them shot.

I'll extend an offer for her to come and do my duty for a week, 5+hours on delivery (and half of it hills and steps) - I trained someone (young and fit who has done duties in the past and has flown around them) who was nearly in tears at the end 
and said that if he was ever put on the duty he'd go home sick (to the manager).
