Then ours starts to say well you use to so our standard reply is well Royal Mail use to employ full time staff and it use to respect its employees but it dont do that any more so now you can see that the companys standards have fallen so have our expectations! :Very Happy

Can't be forced to Flex!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

If your asked to flex and you have not had 24hrs notice you can say no,they are suppossed to inform you before the avent,the other thing to take into consideration is you only have to work your contracted hours.

Must admit I thought they could impose the half hour flex once in a week ; but had to give that back the next week.

We got 'flexed' last week to get a lapsed round out.

They could technically flex you on...
Mon,give it back Tue,then Wed give it back Thur,then Fri give it back Sat.

And they DON'T need to give you 24hrs notice,but they DO have to give it back to you in the SAME WEEK!

I have checked the 24hr flex bit ,they do need to give you 24hrs notice and it is in the agreement i was informed today,when i had a tate de tate with a manager he said yes we do have to give 24hrs notice and he then explained to us that the reason they never used it with us is because he said they cant work out when they could possibley give the hrs back,so has anyone got a copy of the agreement because it really is annoying when you cant put your finger on it.
