football coaching

does anybody know if i can get time off to do level 1 coaching badge for kids football team or do i have to take it off as leave cheers

i did sfa level 1 and i had to take it over 2 sundays cos i did not get time off! well worth it tho am glad i did it gives you a broader knowlage of and ideas on the training ground and matches. good luck with it.

no chance mate!!!!!!!!
a few years back i was a fully qualifyied ref. i refereed in local leagues as well as the kids league. 'I was on the verge of qualifying for the Irish league until royal mail decided to do away with the nightshift in our office....

you could change job to allow you carry on refereeing. Royal Mail is not being helpful to our lifestyle these days. We are not living to work for Royal Mail. We work for Royal Mail to live not to make the boss rich.

We had a guy take a career break for some thing similar

Make up your mind if you are a referee or a postman, you can't do both. Can't imagine why RM would help you to train for another job...................

One of my mates in the office is a referee, has been for years, and gets around £35-£50 a match. Often does two in a weekend :nana

Did mine in 81, at Newark College. Did the FA Team Manager and Team Coach and Refs course too.

They asked us to do some coaching at Worksop - paid - so we all went for it. Free beer money.
Teaching kids soccer, with my left leg in plaster...very interesting!!!
