transfers and seniority

not sure if this is the right place to put this but ive been working for rm for 9 yrs. ive had 1 transfer 5 yrs ago. now i may need another transfer to a different county. what im abit worried about is if i get another transfer my seniority will go down right? would that then have any effect on how safe my job is? say if they have to make some ppl redundant then i would be one of the 1st cos my seniority would be low on the list??

you keep your seniority when u transfer .so u should still have 9 years i think it was in some agreement years ago .i transfered from a do 7 years into royal mail .then the agreement came out 4 or five years later and got all my years back hope this helps

Are you full time? I don't know anyone who has transfered keeping full-time hours.

You keep seniority where ever you transfer , it is covered in the way forward agreement.

However a lot of DSMs are trying to block full time staff transfering in and I would suggust you ask your area rep to assist.

It is still possible to transfer and keep full time hours, depends on the needs of the office you are moving too.
