To any union reps on here can you tell me is it right that one section of an office to collapse duties and no other section has to
or should it be all or none?

It depends who has time in their duty.

You only collapse when there is "genuine opportunity". If you want to start early, go out early, use your cars and rush around then this creates a genuine opportunity if you finish before your schedule finish time. Do the job properly and very few genuine opportunities exist. There may be other reasons that 1 particular section is asked to collapse and not others, I dont know the details.

in our office today we was told you will be walk lapsing , not if youve got time will you do it , no mention of how many days a week, was this in the new agreement (working together) , when is all this going to end putting more and more pressure on delivery staff to hit stupid budgets.

This is the trouble now, the doms have reported to the dsm's that they are lapsing and how much, with no contingency plans in place it dosent matter if there is a surge in traffic, there is no alternative but you taking it. That means (as in our office) people being told" it has been designated yours so take it" when they say they cant take it. Thats when the threats really come out!!!!!

The topic may have been covered many times, but as we are now seeing the result of the Yes vote, we can expect a lot more, especially when management return to their normal aggressive, heads in the sand approach.

Very true But not just threats, we get harassment and nasty little whispering campaigns as well
