Re: existing contractual hours
Yes they can, they(last letter times) have already been changed in principle, when your new duties (WSM)are sorted out, chances are just like the rest of us we will have later starts/finishes.woofwoof wrote:it says in 2010 agreement

You have the option to keep the amount of hrs you work, not the times.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: existing contractual hours
I would agree with Postman because as far as I can remember your contract and mine, does not mention what time you start and finish - it only mentions how many hours you work per week.woofwoof wrote:POSTMAN wrote:Yes they can, they(last letter times) have already been changed in principle, when your new duties (WSM)are sorted out, chances are just like the rest of us we will have later starts/finishes.woofwoof wrote:it says in 2010 agreement

I know its only a small point but its a significant one when it comes to employment law.

No, if you are full-time your existing contractual hours are 40...if you are part-time 20 or 25 or whatever your contract states.
Attendance times are not protected for either full-time or part-time although if your attendance times are changed to such an extent that other commitments would mean that you would no longer be able to continue your employment you MAY have a tenuous case for constructive dismissal.
Other commitment usually but not always mean Childcare issues.
The fact that the union negotiated these changes would most likely go against you at an Employment Tribunal.
Oh and don't call him Shirley.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
