D2D - Members are worst enemy !!!

Post by islfor »

After the new D2D agreement implemented last week, 90% of the stupid arse licking staff are still running around like headless chickens doing D2D whichever way they feel like it.
How long until manager has to use the conduct procedure on them for not doing 1/6 per day including cold calling ?
At the moment nobody can tell whose done what ??? :arrrghhh

Only course for conduct code action would be if members say don't do at least 1/6 d2d on mon/tue then try and complete them over the remainder of week.
If members want to do majority on mon, say 70% they would be then within their rights to leave remaining 14% of d2d (providing float do their 16%) till sat if they so wish or finish them on tue, wed, thur, fri however they feel fit.
The agreement does not say it has to be 16.66% a day.
And surely we shoudnt be advocating members being took down the conduct code.
RM are very capable of doing that without our encouragement.

In my office ALL d2d must be prepped before going out on delivery on Monday. This was agreed by rep in return for no lapsing on Monday. But it goes against the agreement. The time is meant to be there to prep and deliver 1/6th per day. By having them all prepped on Monday RM save the prep time for the rest of the week.

No, of course not, this is RM we're talking about. We are only 'meant' to have the prep time built into our duty structure. Of course the revision is many years away, hence the reason we've got more work, less pay, but the same amount of time to do it in.

You are right guidelines say at least 1/6th a day,so if you want you can do 100% as long as you do not book over time.

No lapsing on a Monday but you're opening the door to lapse Tues - Sat  Sounds like a good plan NOT

If you decide to go against the guidelines and therefore take too much then you will not be able to book.I can't see any manager giving docket out for it.
If you take the 1/6th or whatever you have agreed in you office then yes you can book.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

thats all well and good taking 100% on a monday, but that defeats the whole point of the exercise.

what happens to the people on days off? they get £20.60 for nothing? what happens if someone only takes 1/6th? does that mean that someone else does more work for their£20.60?

guidelines are there for a reason!!

use them to your advantage!!!!!

At least 20% of the D2D's in our office are not delivered because the managers can't be bothered to police it.
So the guys that are doing them are doing more work for the same money.
PATHETIC.
