I had been thinking along these lines anyway.

At the same time, it is disgraceful that management are pursuing people for comments made on here. We are already in a situation where people have been disciplined for having rows (and less, sometimes!) outside of work, if they both work in the rm. Now, even comments made ABOUT others in the business are considered to make us fair game. I already have to watch what i say at work, because of the position i'm in. now i have to censor myself outside work.

This was one place where we could let off steam about the bunch of bullying, hypocritical bastards that run this industry. RM seems to think they own us outside of work, whilst they barely pay us enough for when we're IN work.

So in what way do we have 'freedom of speech' one of our most vital liberties.

If it weren't for my determination to not let the bastards grind us down, i would be genuinely frightened about the RM.

I completely agree with you comrade. There isn't a single 'manager' (stooge, more like) I have met in all my years working for this and other businesses who doesn't know what I think about them. So in that sense I don't need this messageboard to tell them what they already know. I'm not prepared to put the Admin and Moderators of this messageboard in a tight spot by going overboard and dropping any of them in it. Someone on here likened the people running this site as 'Nazi's' because they deleted a post naming strike breakers in their office. Comparing Moderators to one of the biggest sets of mass murderers, racists, flag waving war mongering regimes of all time is absolutely ridiculous.
Already we're not allowed to write to newspapers or make statements to the media. If anyone bears comparison to totalitarian regimes, it's Royal Mail. Such is the way of tryants. They fear the truth!

how are the screws finding out who these people are i do hope they aint doing anything they shouldnt be to get this info i.e getting someone who is clued up on computers to do their dirty work if so what bout the data protection act

I work for Royal Mail as such they are my employer, and as such they have no control over my thoughts, and no control over my opinions. I accept that personal abuse is unacceptable but at the same time it should be remembered the Strike is an emotive subject and from time to time feelings will boil over.
Allan Leighton may have influential friends etc but that doesn`t mean we should all roll over,it doesn`t make him right or us wrong it merely means he moves in a different world to us!If we start to believe he is some sort of indestructable superhero buisnessman we might as well all give up.
As for the site being shut down by RM the only problem i see is the name perhaps using Royal Mail in the name wasn`t a good idea and leaves us open to action by RM.
The word scab is not intended to be nice it is a word that has been used for decades to describe the scum who cross picket lines, so why should we not use it? i certainly will continue to use it.People who cross picket lines to work are leeches, happy to take any benefits the rest of us lose pay to achieve, we shouldn`t lose sight of that!

I've changed the bottom part of the post.
Maybe the other one was a bit long winded,the new part is short and straight to the point.

Regarding strike breakers/strike breakers which was in there early on,that was just a personal preference on MY front.
I just don't use the S word as a rule,i didn't mean it to look like you guys couldn't use it.

Nitemare!!!f***ing Managers!!!!
