Regarding extra workload. We have been told that CDV and all the other shite they have spunked our pension money on will now not arrive at our office now till next year at the earliest. We have wsm in our office now plus all the extra bulk,ie Loads of D2D inc heavier contracts they have taken on like booklets,plus absorbtion everyday. So that means we hav'nt got the tools to do the job have we??? As royal mails new policy was about getting the weight off the shoulder not putting extra on it.

Can dingo or any other itk answer this, tar.

Its a 3 year transformation program, however it sounds like you need to be in year 1. Therefore the CWU should be pushing for your D.O to be altered in year 1

Some of you quote the levels of part timers approaching 50 /50 and problems in your office this has not just been since 2007 pay and mod but because that has been Royal Mail"s agenda.

This agreement is like Daz say a 3 year deal, where everyone will get delivery methods , walk sequencing , the new workplan and possibly a geo route revision.

The exact plan for your office will be shared by the regional directors and then locally in line with the local revision process.

Just because you have delivery methods in the second or third year does not mean you can"t have solutions for weight. But first and foremost we have to stop people using their cars as we know this goes on in hundreds of different offices and this is allowing Royal Mail to duck their responsibility of providing weight on delivery solutions.

Thats the problem though, most in our office use the cars. Yet people like me are being singled out for doing the job properly. Im now even being watched on my walk as i have been booking extended and not finishing my duty. Everybody needs to stick together in all offices otherwise bullying and harrasment of employees will start to go into overdrive. I have enough to worry about in my personal life without having to come to work and be watched and intimidated by gaffers about what fooking time i finish everyday of the week. The CWU needs to address this as gaffers seem to think they can take the piss and bully people more and more now, infact its got worse than before.

There is no credibility in what those who run the company say, they are criminals, dsa, cycle helmets, and cutting hours.

So how do we get the "improved attendance patterns" without the vans or trolleys and without putting our long term health at risk?

No I dont think all postman on delivery are taking a pay cut, the figures show that the average door to door payment was £12 , yes some were above that figure and including the d2d barons but a lot were below that line. Door to Door was only paid based on contracts received and the average was 2.1 per office.

Not everyone received the early shift allowance 1 & 2 , some received the dawn shift which remains and others never recieved any allowance.

So the fact is whatever you think of the union they would not have tried to sell a deal which meant everyone lost in deliveries it would be a no brainer.

The other part of this you cannot put a price on is that once you do a revison and say you have 4 d2d items and the average delivery points 500 you will have an extra 2000 items per week which have to be counted in your revison and your prep and delivery time.

So whilst there is a significant number in deliveries who may have lost , it was never the majority in deliveries or otherwise the agreement would have been defeated.

We have been told we are getting a table top revision. WHY? Because geo route has shown we need 2 more duties putting in using the old parameter so they know with the new parameters we will need more. BUDGET, BUDGET BUDGET thats all we here. Sorry Dingo RM will never abide by the agreement only the bits they want and the cwu wont challenge this cos too many got cushy numbers at our expence.

I'm talking short term while he is waiting for the 'tools of the job'.
Many go on on here about extra weight on delivery,but how many of them actually weigh their bags.

For instance,we all do our walks a certain way,there are parts of our walk we get in one bag,parts in 2 ect.
Now with the extra weight some seem to think that the 1 bag part of the walk will now be s**t heavy and the world is going to end.
Solution,do that part with 2 bags and let RM deal with the extra bags,extra dead walking and extra cut offs.
