Looking at solutions for home deliveries

For research purposes, I did a leaflet distribution of 5,000 leaflets. My husband too is researching in this way.

The trouble is - the heavily loaded sprung outside flaps followed by the inside letter flap barriers were our nightmare. What must it be like for you - all day and every day? Also the tiny packages that are not able to be delivered. Of course the construction of these letter boxes are such to keep out the draughts - and what purpose does this serve when the delivery - especially newspapers are left half way through - simply because of the difficulties?

We've entered the Barclay's Take One Small Step Competition hoping that our supporters will help us win £50,000 to help further developments.

Ecoflap - our first interior energy efficient letter flap has had a good year - no springs - no brushes and adjustable to delivery.

What a great idea ,if all houses in the uk were to have one.

Draught excluders on letter boxes my daily moan,great at stopping everything entering letter box including mail.
Victorian Letter boxes ,from a day when junk mail was light years away,just to small even for todays small evenvelopes,let alone anything else.
Letter boxes with springs on ,wich are figer traps.
Ground floor including new estates being built with ground floor boxes and with any of the above.

We've been shorlisted into the TOP 10 out of 371...(so far) South Western Business's entered into the Barclay's Take One Small Step Competition!
The judges are announcing the top 3 finalists from each Region over the weekend.
Whatever the next result, I'm so happy that Jessel Innovations have reached this stage. The ratio and quality of the views and comments have made us really happy.
We shall continue to develop our energy efficient, and postman friendly products.

Somebody somewhere, has to do something about letterboxes.

Why is the average letterbox narrower than the standard letter? At least 80% of letterboxes can't cope with a standard size magazine without it being folded. When you get building societies sending literature an inch thick that can't be folded it makes you wonder who's the idiot? The sender/producer or the homeowner? Both I reckon.

I have a street of eight houses and every one has an old vertical letterbox, head height and measuring less than an inch by about three inches. Honestly, two of them are customers of LoveFilm, and the DVD's don't fit!

Size is my main issue and to be frank, that Ecoflap looks far too small.

At least someone has one has gone out on the streets and tried the poxy boxes out there

I agree that the Eco Flap would prob need to be a bit wider but at least its not double flapped (one in and one out) which traps your fingers, i mean who thought of that idea.

Lastly and a simple thing is to round of the corners off the flap (if the flap opens out) as ive lost count how many times ive cut my thumb pushing the mail through.

Point out another letter flap that can adjust up to A4 size, and up to a depth of the thickness of a YELLOW pages directory.
I'm sure DVDs and CDs and other small packages can be delivered with ease. PLUS the Sunday newspapers!!!!!!!!!
You see it's so DIFFERENT you can't accept it. It's too good to be true. See it in the top 3 finalists (out of 371 entrants) and VOTE for this marvellous invention as a WINNER.

At least the inventor knows what he's talking about. Shame when this Ecoflap can't be comprehended, especially as it IS thinking of you plus householders saving energy and heating costs.

Some of the videos may be deceiving, hence it looks small, but I was impressed to see the telephone directory fitting through.

In my opinion, any house that has a letterbox that won't accept A4 documents, a couple of inches thick, without bending doesn't deserve to have mail delivered.

See how that letter flap lifts up? drops down, skews one way and the other, and shuts and not a brush in sight.
When I was leaflet distributing.....I was brushed up the wrong way. resulting in a crumpled mess on the other side.

I hate vertical letterboxes and another thing that winds me up is letterboxes that look quite large on the outside but underneath the flap is a hole the size of the original victorian letterbox they've taken off
