Oh ok. Well if there is enough time in your duty, there really isn't a lot you can do about it. But if its going to cause you to book overtime (which our dom tries to avoid) and you don't want to do it, ask for an instruction. The choice is yours but either way make sure you get paid for what you do. Your rep should have guidelines for prep rate of d2d, its worth reading so you know where you stand. Good luck anyways.

Just to clarify there are no set rules about who preps d2d so your line manager can get someone else to do it or tell you to do it. If this makes you late getting out and late finishing then book the OT and make sure you book your paid break too.

If you don't want to do the OT tell your LM and tell him you will need d2d put in for you each day. If it isn't put it in, work till your finish time then go home. Easy. You will need to arrange with LM to either bring what you don't have time to deliver back to office or to leave what you wont have time for in the office so he can get someone else to do that bit. Don't be affraid to tell you manager you don't have time for something if you have commitments outside of work. OT is 100% voluntary and your choice.

think you will find that 22.5 h/r and below contracts do not prep thier own d2d they have to be prepped by f/t staff, this was to protect the f/t posts so if you are on 22.5 hrs or less then the f/t staff who prep your duty should also be prepping your d2d

I'm on 25hr D2D not done once for me last week but are supposed to be and I had 4 of them, with summer lapsing added in it meant OT every single day Inc Sat not done that for a while. Surely this ain't progress?

25Hr contracts and below will all find it impossible unless your whole round is thrown in and you deliver next to the D.O

I have

4HR Delivery
20 Mins travel to first letter
20 Mins travel back to the D.O
30 Mins meal relief

This does NOT include throwing in remainder of walk, redirections, bagging up and pouching off.

Before the agreement it was a shambles, now we are expected to prep infinite D2D's! With friends like the CWU, who needs Line Supervisors and Doms?

You do the maths!

25 Hour contacts (and if you have even less you have my sympathy) are nothing more than a con, the workload is not achievable and nobody wants to know which puts pressure on US to cut off and put up with all the fecking bullshit that follows. I would not mind but to top it off, regardless what overtime you do you are rewarded with a pro-rata turd shat on you from a great height. Where are these super-dooper rounds that were supposed to be 'created' for smaller contracts who would be hit with the extra workload?

You cut off, work to your time or whatever and you'll be targetted for the sack like YOU are the problem, whereas some full timers have more rope (time). If they cant sack you they'll take you off your delivery or if you are a reserve, give you the shittiest rounds they can find. After all they need to look after the blue eyed boys who run around and come in early for nothing.

I suspect as a result of the double the usual OT I booked last week, an effort was made to ensure my duty was fully prepped inc D2D & re-directions etc ready for me this week so far. with summer lapsing finished bang on time both days. (Oh by the way only because it was piss quiet mind you)
