Ok,we work nights in a delivery office operating sequencing machines.

The agreement states "This is payable to all delivery office employees directly tagged to and working in the delivery function. "

Our DOM showed us a letter saying we do not receive the delivery supplement because we get extra payment for running the machines.

Where in the agreement does it say that ???

Also with 500 machines being installed and more operators needed would the job be so attractive now ??? If you come off delivery to work the machines yo'll lose your £20.60 delivery supplement and get £21.20 machine money instead.

1 Is obviously right,so in theory you should get it.
2 Needs to be confirmed by higher up.
3 It doesn't so again you should get it,and we now go back to 2.

Sorry for being FFICK - I'm Welsh, you know - but I thought that the D2D payments were being started asap.

So...why are there still the old forms listing who delivered what on our frames?

Example: This week I covered a Town walk, but was a day off on one day, and transfered to another round for another day.
So, I ended up doing 4 days on the round.
Guy who did the round on my non-delkivery days has partially completed the old form with his initials against the points he delivered.

Surely, this old system is going/gone???

Am I missing something?
( I was off injured for a few months, so may have missed all the info/details etc.)

A "control" sheet will still be used, its part of the offical guidelines, although I would hope it is showing 1/6ths rather just streets. Im on leave so havent seen the format.

I've not had a sheet for next week but I overheard something about 4 D2Ds for next week AND they're not in one envelope, which is what the paperwork about the agreement we have in the office says...

You should get the delivery supplement if you are in a delivery function. The £21.20 is for an acquired set of skills separate to anything else. The £20.60 is just D2D money shared out in delivery functions.

Is that all you get extra for manning the machines? What about night shift allowances? Might have to rethink going in for that.

Royal Mail at national level have put out a directive to the effect that CSS Operators will not receive the Basic Pay Supplement. CWU do not agree with their re-interpretation of what was agreed and the issue has been raised at national level and is due to be discussed next week.

My original question was on the spirit of the agreement.

I shall think twice before I ask for clarification on this forum in future.
