Citipost parcels

I was out delivering parcels this afternoon and noticed one had Citipost printed on it.How long have we been delivering these and why are we doing it,theres enough parcels to deliver without doing other firms parcels.

However if we did not deliver them then we would lose Duties etc etc.

I suppose its back to the old argument, if you think you have too much to do then inform the manager and let him make the decision. One thing we can't expect RM to do is turn away business, but what we can expect is RM to manage it better.

i dont think he is saying that , but why dont the people who for rm in the sales on stupid money try and get some of these contracts for packets and letters instead of posting the last mile for the so called competion , and delivery get the backlash.

True but that's above our pay grade at work. But by all means do as Roy does and campaign against it, highlight the contradictions and costs etc,

Isn't it that since 2006 DSA has been letters, but in recent months has been extended to packets and parcels too ?

I've delivered Citipost packets for the past 8/9 months but recently noticed TNT packets, I'm sure the companies using them are unaware that RM are still delivering them (afterall haven't some of these companies made a great song and dance about NOT using RM ).

Of course, we are also delivering D2D material on their behalf. At this rate there will come a point when we are doing all their deliveries for them. They won't need any delivery drivers or vehicles, everything will have been outsourced.

Just what i was thinking, and when they realise it was say tnt or citylink on the parcel. The customer will not know and think it was that company that delivered it. If only they knew!

Quite often get parcels from other companys ie citylink, tnt etc etc i despise delivering these. Why aren't they delivered by the company they came from instead of them freeloading on to us!

I've been told we get all their excess, apparently they get so much they rely on us to deliver their excess within their agreed times.
