And in turn the rounds man who is covering the absent party is then responsible and must deliver all items or they will also be subjected to the same treatment!
Also told no additional prep time is made available for D2D's compilation.

Yep this is what our dom said this morning but has back down after about an hour locked in his office with our rep.Tommase wrote:That would seem the logical way of completing but our line manager said we have to take one contract a dayso in effect every call six days a week ! I realise that D2D's are now classed as mail and not leaflets, just seems tyrannical to impose new rules and the idiots guide instruction they sent out makes your blood boil.
'Start with an empty frame, sit comfortably, all mail must be thrown in prior to D2D's'
To true been there myself before I got some service and my own rural duty.krussel wrote: I will prob let him off if its the regular guy as he gets pushed from pillar to post anyway.

citypostie wrote:In our office this week there are so many duties on o/t that they have had to draught managers in on some days to deliver them, even then some stayed in until the next day.On these duties the parcels weren't getting taken never mind d2d so under all the frames are untouched d2d.People prepping the duties aren't being told to put any d2d in and if they did wouldn't know which part to do because nothing has been arranged plus they are that desperate to get rounds done they don't want to put people off by saying they have to take d2d. Now when the normal duty holders return next week to this weeks d2d's plus whatever comes in next week surely they would be entitled to refuse to do the ones left from this week because people who have done the o/t should have done them. I know I would refuse and argue the fact that they should get everyone who has done the duty on o/t to split the d2ds that were left between them.
I'm sure this situation will crop up alot so was wondering if anything official about how this should be handled is known?
No change there thenkrussel wrote:citypostie wrote:In our office this week there are so many duties on o/t that they have had to draught managers in on some days to deliver them, even then some stayed in until the next day.On these duties the parcels weren't getting taken never mind d2d so under all the frames are untouched d2d.People prepping the duties aren't being told to put any d2d in and if they did wouldn't know which part to do because nothing has been arranged plus they are that desperate to get rounds done they don't want to put people off by saying they have to take d2d.
