Part timers and new door 2 door system

I understand the new system is coming in shortly - can someone explain the situation for part-timers please.
I am led to believe that all door to doors are meant to be prepped daily and put i the frame and be ready for us bundle up. I know thats not likely to happen! I can see us being forced by managers to do the prep which means getting out even later.
I assume we refuse to do the prep even if we are offered extra overtime? I know that would mean we would effectively be being paid still for not doing anything but the part time pro rate payment is going to be alot less and frankly its not worth it anyway.

ay my DO you union rep said if they are not in your frame and you dont want over time then leave them, thats what i will be doing. I can see them being in my frame as they cant choke my mail in !!!!

In our office whoever is doing the d2ds preps them so thats more prep time , take that into account when they try the summer lapsing trick

Im a part-timer went in this morning and got told my d2d's will be prepped for me from now on because its classed as mail now and not a supplement so 1/6 a day will be put in for me per day quite happy with that all kicked off a bit this morning though a few had to go outside to let off some steam!

ours have one sixth prepped - by prepped I mean collated - two inside the other etc etc

They are not in the frame but though which is better as thatd be a nightmare for double slotters and I prefer putting my door to doors in small bundles behind my normal bundles of mail

They should be prepped into the frame...that's what this means.

• Note: D2D items should not be merged with other mails at the doorstep

mine was prepped 4 me but a lot of the other part timers was not

My d2d's were in a pile under my frame this morning, they'll be there tomorrow and they'll still be there on Saturday unless they get thrown in like they're supposed to be. I don't actually have a problem with throwing them in but if they're going to pay us pro-rata then they'll get pro-rata work. It's a two way street.

Well tbh its much easier not being in the frames. Easier to do redirections, easier to turn for packets and easier not to miss a a wee bit of mail hiding in between a few door to doors in yer bundle.

When we done door to doors as normal no one put them into their frames as its more hassle. Especially like I say on double slotted frames.

Im with you easier if they were left out personally doesnt take 2 minutes to chuck in 1/6 and you can be alot more organised.Before If i were to put them in the frames the day before after coming off my round they would only be under the frame the next morning anyway!

Last week we were told specifically that under the new arrangement, the d2d were now considered to be 'mail' and would be treated as such. This means that they must be prepped as mail and you can also now be done for willful delay should they not be delivered. This could not have been more strongly stressed to us during a morning huddle/muddle/cuddle

My interpretation therefore, is that if I have to cut off then I cut off my d2d too. Its simple, do what tbt advises, work hard but stick to your hours people

What a load of crap you are being fed. 1/6 to be clearly marked out on frame. Prep 1st 1/6 monday, 2nd 1/6 tues, and so on through to sat. It doesn't matter if your are cold calling, it is now considered normal mail. Don't let them tell you otherwise.

What happens if you've taken where you are going on Monday, but you are sick on Tues? The person covering your duty is thinking 'happy days' as they won't have to do the full 1/6 (as you did most of it monday) AND YET THEY ARE GETTING PAID THE SAME AMOUNT AS YOU. Think about it guys, don't let the management rip you off.
