Mail Centers tonight!

So how's it gonna work tonite then.
What should us walkers expect tomm.
Any ideas anyone,limited strike breakers and Managers,how much can they do.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

As you say , minimal amount of hopeless cases , and managers , they won't be able to replicate what a fully functioning
mail centre can produce. :Very Happy

Not sure if this will have any bearing on deliveries, I work at Plymouth mdec we only keyed mail for one hour 30 mins instead of the normal 8 hrs, plenty time for reading my book and now going to enjoy my day off. :dance :dance

JUST FINISHED SOAKING WET.

A HELL OF A LOT OF MAILSORT TODAY PLUS ALL THE SKY MAGS WHICH MEANT ALOT OF BAGS.
STILL WITH NO PACKETS AND NOTHING TO SIGN FOR IT WAS A CASE OF DELIVERING IT AND GOING STRAIGHT HOME WITHOUT GOING BACK TO THE OFFICE

had a shite day round brum still had walk sort bundles and loads a mail sort the dum kept back from monday strange they can do that when they want to :roll: and im SOAKING WET :evil/mad

At my DO there were managers doing good impressions of this Image.

But the actual walk was like an old Saturday - left office at 830 finished for 1140 which is good for me.

Wonder what tomorrow will bring.

The misort run driver reported 5 or 6 gaffers on the floor of birmingham mail centre. Loads of bulk mailsort 2 and 3 today. I think RM must have emptied the NDC. Shame the top table of the CWU got the 7.5 tonne drivers strike wrong. We'd have had nothing to sort or deliver today. Lets see wha happens next week. Oh yeah, got fecking soaked too.

wasn't expecting any post at all today. but wage slip turned up and thats first class. so how did that happen ? there shouldn't have been any first class today surely . :shock:

:dance MY OFFICE HAD A 'GOOD OLD DAY' ! I HAD ONE BAG AND A BIT, INSTEAD OF AT LEAST 5 ON A 'NORMAL' THURSDAY. WE DIDNT HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE MISSORT RUN AND EVERYONE WAS HOME BY 1030/45 (WE START AT 0445). THE CANFORD HEATH MAIL CENTRE HAD JUST MANAGERS DOING A NIGHT - THEY MANAGED TO CHURN OUT (APPROX) 2/3 CODED BUNDLES AND A FEW PACKETS.
ME? WELL I WAS TRAINING ONE OF THESE POOR 20/25 HOUR WEEKS, DELIVERY ONLY, CONTRACTED RM STAFF - THEY REALLY MUST BE DESPERATE FOR WORK! - SO I HAD TO WAIT FOR HIM TO ENTER THE BUILDING (0800), OTHERWISE, A GREAT DAY. AND LOOKING FORWARD TO TOMORROW!

BRING IT ON!!!!

Two Weeks of Postal Strikes Has Begun

Two weeks of postal strikes began with night shift Mail Centre workers across the UK last night.

Strike action again is being strongly supported with over 98% of Mail Centre workers across the UK taking part in strike action.

Dave Ward, Deputy General Secretary said “Over 98% of mail centre workers have been on strike since last night - this again shows the continuing level of determination by postal workers to get management to return to negotiations and stop attacking their jobs, pay, pensions, terms and conditions.â€
