Word of the Week

Recently on RoyalMailChat I have seen the words "lickspittle" (Fishtank) and "peccadillo" (smelly-cat-lady).
Neither of these words are in common use unfortunately, but they are lovely words.
A rumour has reached me that a rep on the West Coast of Scotland used to have a "Word of the Week" on the CWU noticeboard but for reasons unclear to me s/he has been banned from doing this.
So does anyone know the full story?
And can the noticeboard be censored in this way?

Sadly, we've had problems with the CWU Noticeboard being censored in the past too. In our case, it was during the disputes. But it does show that Managers can do this type of thing, if they see fit.

The way we got around this, was to put the censored articles in the window of the Union room, over which the Managers have no control. If you have a Union room with a window, you could do the same. Although I realise that not everyone has this option available.

we regularly have eloquent (above the waistline) on our van. most recently the dandelion seeds flying around were 'abundant'
