Just wondered if anyone knows what the new policy on defence against dogs will be.
Currently,we are told that,in the first instance,we should use our pouches to defend ourselves.
We have been told that soon,the majority in our office, will be using HCTs ,or golf trolleys(park+loop).
We wont be carrying a pouch,so what do we do when attacked by a dog.
Whack it with a sky mag?
Seriously,what do we do?

Our office gave us bite back spray yet to try it on a dog but it works on my lass.

i want to know how u can get the bag off fast enough to use it to protect you, especially if you are wearing it the way you are supposed to.

If Sky Mags go to an e-mag which they're planning to do in the very near future, may i suggest thinking of something different to whack the dog with... maybe some rolled up DSA or just a boot to the balls will do.

Can i suggest a little restraint.
A dogs reaction time is between 2 and 3 times faster than a human.
So there is every chance it will have sunk it's teeth into your balls before your foot can make any contact with the dogs's boll*cks.

I had a special today for a customer, He opened the door to let the overgrown rat oot, he got told if it bites me it will be getting kicked in next week.His face was a picture.

do what i do if theres a threat (arsehole of a dog) at a property dont deliver it and take it back and tell your dom , no mail and wait for the complaint from customer service ,asking why they have not recieved any mail for x amount of days , your health and safety is more important , we dont get paid enough.

After 3 days you start to endorse and send it back

never enter a house if a dog is out ! - even when the owners say " he/she wont hurt you " !!!! thats rubbish they dont know if there little/big dog is feeling hungry and fancies a nice nip of posties leg ( or worse nether regions! ) i mean how many times have you heard this !!! JUST DONT RISK IT wait till doggy is out the way or bring post back , REMEMBER THAT SAD CASE OF RECENT WITH THAT DOG ATTACK ON POSTIE - ( i wish you well and sure we all thought of you ) THIS IS A EXAMPLE OF THE SAD TRAGIC OF WHAT CAN HAPPEN ! so be CAREFUL and THINK before you enter ! no job is worth risking it and it all happens very quickly ( too fast to run or decide on what to do ! ) my docile king charles caveleier wouldnt hurt a fly !! JUST BE CAREFUL OUT THERE is the best advice ( i think ) ???

Got attacked this week by a big german shephard. Ran out the side door as I was delivering to the front. Luckily ever bite went into my bag before the owner got it to f**k.

Terrifying. :(
