6 day 48 hr week, 1 week off in 6

Is that right?

Anyone already doing this, if so what do you think?

My maths tells me that with a week off in every 6 and my holidays (5 weeks with it being 6 day duty)

13.6 weeks thats more that a week every month with a good pick on holidays

Everyone on it swears by it but it's a long 5 weeks and you do get reduced holiday entitlement.

Same number of days holiday eg 30 days

But whereas 5 day week = 6 weeks holiday
Wallington 6 day week = 5 weeks holiday but both = 30 days

we've been doing this in our office for about 2 years now.....much better than having 1 day off a week!!!!

I just meant you have to use 6 days A/L to get a week off.

No,although there is an improved wallington+ that does provide 1 in 4.
The agreement states "maximise the number of Saturdays off for those who wish them" so why not.

Have been doing "Wallington Week" for a few years now, it's brilliant imo, would never fancy going back to day off
Yes i'm knackered by the end of the 5th week but a week off soon puts that to the back of my mind, plus if you book AL around your wally weeks even better, for example i've had 3 weeks off in August for the past 3 years Woo Hoo
Occasionally work a few days of wally week, quite a few in our office work a lot of there's tho.

We are quite near an airport so a lot of the posties use theirs for cheap out of season breaks using budget flights.My best was 4 foreign holidays in a year.Better than being a teacher !

in swansea we call it a hereford week iv'e been doing it for a few years (we were one of the first to go to single delivery ) i love it you can work it on o/t i quite often book annual leave for the week after then if you can get o/t you earn good money and get the next week off if u cant get o/t you got 2 weeks off , win win ! tho it's harder to get o/t now and it's going to get worse with all the lapsing and absorbing
