Bullied at work !!!

I'm being constantly bullied by a work colleague he has previously threatened to beat me up after punching his frame just to show someone what he would like to do to my face, while I was innocently passing. When I'm prepping my frame (after DOM tells me too) he walks passes & has a dig & shrugs his head & shouts that I get £30 extra per week to go on my frame early (I'm office coach).
When I handed everyone in our office union correspondence he scrunched it up & threw it in the bin & mouthed off obscenities.(I'm Union Rep).
He says things outside work about my family. Any advice ??

Forgot to add he has a temper & history of bullying individuals.

Assuming that you've already asked him to stop. Your next step, is to complain about him to your Manager. You shouldn't have to put up with that! This is what the B&H procedures are for.

I think there is a 'bullying helpline,' maybe give them a call. If you have a Courier handy, might have the number in there.

Or you could follow him one night down a dark street with a baseball bat

Difficult one this.If you really do not feel up to challenging him directly---(and it usually is the best way-but quietly and without an audience, which is what these idiots want) then just dob him in! As you are a rep, I expect you would encourage others to do just that,and the sooner the better, before things get out of control. Have no conscience about doing this.
If he is going outside the worrplace, and making untrue allegations about your family, which may make them feel intimidated, then this is even more serious. good Luck, and do not let the bullies win!

Thanks for your support im encouraged by it all.......I recently got this idiot off a B&H charge by a genuine pmn who had to go off sick after 18 months of hell at the hands of the office bully. This is the respect I get !!! He even had the cheeks to phone me at home crying for me to help !!!

He certainly appears to have all the hall marks of a classic bully. Just someone looking for attention, if he was on here he would probably be mistaken for a troll.

I know why he's doing it because as union rep im a threat to his excessive O/T, especially when he comes in on A/L for overtime.
Also he is known to have secret deals by managers & is always in on his day off & is in every night on S/A. MONEY IS GOD for some people. When I have weekly resource meetings he is down as day off ???

If your DOM won't sort it out, let the police.

Did someone mention a baseball bat? That would get my vote He will remain a bully while people let him strutt around.... sorry to say it but broken limbs may be the only option! Or you could gather all your co-workers around him and tell him to stop or you'll all come down on him like a ton of bricks?

Hi on your payslip it has the hr number call them and ask them for the number of GATEWAY based in wolverhampton call them , they did help me and ive not looked back since. dont bottle it just do it your not on your own.

Simple. Take a note of everything he says. Time date and exactly what he said. Keep it for a week and then put in an official complaint. He'll get sacked without a doubt. Another option is call his mother a whore very quietly so only he can hear you and he will hit you. He'll get sacked, convicted of assualt and you'll get a very fat compensation claim! :D ( Deny you said anything to him btw)
