What do "PLANNERS" get paid for?

I used to work for a firm that had it's own structural engineer. He only really did any work when new machinery had to be installed or some alterations were made to the building. Then they decided to make a new loading bay for all the lorries that dropped stuff off. This engineer meticulously measured the height of each lorry so as to know the minimum headroon required. After it was built the first wagon came in, dropped it's load and as it pulled out it got wedged under the loading bay entrance. The engineer had measured the height of the LOADED wagons and set the entrance height only inches above this. The stupid tw@t forgot that unloaded they ride higher. Cost the firm quite a bit of money to make everything right.

I thought this was the best Cock-up I'd ever see as surely no one else could be such a simpleton.........

Our office was supposed to get WSM machines two years ago, it got postponed for obvious reasons. Earlier this year we were told that WSM machines will definately be in and running by early October this year. That's TWO years to get the basics of the thing right.

Today we found out they don't have enough room for the things. It seems when they measured and plotted a floor plan they forgot to include the floorspace needed for an entire district!

They did jiggle things around and found a way to get the machines in but then there would be no room whatsoever for all the yorkies of mail that is supposed to go through these machines. They went away scratching their heads to have a think about it....

Any one got any ideas how to fit a quart into a pint pot?

Have a lot of expirence in our office of the Planning team,have said before.

You have to be highly qualified to be on the planning team,

No1 rule to be selected ,is YOU MUST NOT HAVE OR EVER DONE A WALK IN YOUR LIFE!
No2 You need to carry a lap top with you or at least a bag so people can see how important you are.
NO3 Do not listen to any Postmen they have knbow idea of the rounds or area.
NO4 AS the work is so stressfull you are entitled to a coffe and fag break every 10 minutes for at least ten minutes each break.
NO5 When it all goes wrong blame someone else.

Our last revision ,they created a walk that no one could ever do it was so big ,yet prior to going live the Planners said it was just a average size
round yet took me a whole shift just to prep and 2 guys 6 hours each just to deliver now same round is split.

Planners bring them on!

We moved over to van share in our office last June and then got our flats coming in walksorted from the new machines installed at the new mail centre at Swindon. But in the last couple of weeks the flats now come into our office unsorted. (meaning an extra 20mins IPS)
The reason being they are installing WSM's at Swindon but don't have room for both so they are ripping out the flat sorting machines.
