So, John McDonnell, one of the handful of MPs who supported us during the strikes, has announced he's running for leadership of the Labour Party.
Theoretically, as members of one of the unions who contribute to the party, we should get a vote on this at some point. I'm under no illusion that he'll win but what the heck. The guy's gone on enough marches and spoke at enough conferences that he should get something for his troubles.

I agree, although there's about as much chnce of him succeeding as John Precott returning as deputy leader.

The one true socialist who never has or would sell his soul is Dennis Skinner,can you imagine if he put himself forward? I know he would'nt but just think what would happen.

My vote -should he stand, highly unlikely - would always go to Tony Benn. The most honourable and trustworthy member of the Labour party. He supported us on the strikes and appeared at rallies.
