i have currently been suspended pending an investigation because i have been following customers requests.everyday i have been killing off mail because the customer keeps saying "if there bills you can take em back" so i have.now half the street has no electricity,no gas,no phoneline,and as of next week no water, but surely this isnt my fault as i was only following what they said.the cwu dont have much faith in my case too......help.....please....

No your at fault, unless the members of public put it in writing to kill of their mail.
The public could say they were joking, never told you to kill of their mail dont recall such a conversation.

You have an obligation to deliver the mail as address. And until the letter comes back as "Not known, moved, refused etc" it is not down to the postie to do anything other than deliver it.

Sorry to say, your at fault-unless you can prove that half the street-or at least the customers who gave you those instructions to kill off their mail told you to do so. Next time get such requests in writing.
