Door 2 Door guidelines will hopefully be agreed on Monday and sent out Tuesday or Wednesday.

Royal Mail want to go live on 7th June and pay the supplement and then lift the cap to a maximum of 4 . Not every office will get 4 thou it will be subject to contracts being booked.

At the moment payroll are having problems as they have to now change everyones grade as you no longer are just an opg you are either tagged to a delivery unit or a mail centre. So there are doubts on whether it can go live.

If it is agreed on Monday then there is over two weeks for local talks to take place on how to put door to door into workload in each office.

The aim is then in mid july to lift the cap to 5 items per week.

However in early July there will be a trial on 5 items in the North East and Scotland as some companies are concerned whether more unaddressed items dropping onto the mate my mean that there is less response to the products then there was previously.

Then on 6 Jan it will go to 6 items but only if your office has had a delivery methods revision.

The National review group will be meeting regularly and there will also be a divisional review.

There is no plans to go above 6 and Royal Mail`s plan is that when 6 items are in an area then the bussiness case for automation will kick in.

And without a delivery methods revision how exactly do you carry 5 D2D?

In the interim to ensure that D2D workload is covered effectively in line with this agreement, and in advance of units realigning duties through full revision activity to take account of D2D, resourcing of hours associated with the workload linked to D2D will be dealt with through locally agreed interim arrangements and reviewed through the weekly resourcing meetings in all delivery units. To aid the transition, offices that have not deployed delivery methods revisions will have to provide genuine and demonstrable solutions to any weight or volumetric issues.

What genuine and demonstrable solutions to any weight or volumetric issues does the CWU have in mind?

Surely the only way to do this is a full revision. Most offices will be expected to absorb the extra door 2 doors because of bullying management and staff will just be threatened with conduct code if they dont comply with it into there present deliveries. 2 weeks is no way enough time. You cant check every delivery in this time. Why rush it in so quickly. It stinks of RM doing whatever they want and however they want.

How the hell can you have 4 d2d, prep walks for ags, summer lapsing and finish on time, as normal left to local offices to sort out equals more and more bullying. i give up

Another thing what about health & safety, how do we carry the extra wieght ? was lifting the cap dependant on cdv where are they, wheres the hct, wheres the golf trollys and of course we will not be able to contact anyone because they will all be on the piss in bournemouth, do i smell a rat nothing coming out of hq or area offices, i can see a call to the health & safety exuctive coming and i will be the one to do it.

It's ok your rep will be involved at every stage....unless he/she happens to be on annual leave for the next fortnight...then your in deep sh*t mate.

so if the supplemnet starts to get payed does that mean all aspects of the aggreement come into force ie no longer using you car on delivery i think it is stupid to try to increase the d2d level until the walk sequenced revision in your office comes into play then you should have the means to carry all the d2d ie shared vans or hct

Wait till the guidelines come out before you shout its bolloxs. Within a weeks time we will know every unit which has an order for 4 and not only units but the post code area.

Now there might be a number of solutions for handling door to door into workload. Remember you will only do 1 /6th per day so on a 500 address delivery that works out at an extra 83 items per day or if you have a 1000 delivery points it works out as 166 items per day.

The options can include a range of options . Have you ever thought that it may mean you dont lapse as you now have more workload ?

Went to an event today where all the regional managers and Divisional reps were there along with Roger Poole , ACAS , Dave Ward, Dale Haddon , Peter Walls , Paul Tolhurst and Bob Gibson.

It was not exactly a love in , but it was on how do we improve relationships and how do we deploy the agreement in a fair and transparant manner.

Now some regions have got better relationships than others. There was some tension in the room but there was a desire to try and improve and a desire to help local reps and delivery office managers. Early days and there will be more challenges in the coming weeks but there is a commitment in every region to try and ensure that relationships improve and that revisions in the future are introduced with the help of the workforce rather to them.

All parties stated that the deployment of the agreement will be the test on whether relationships are going to improve.

Cheers for confirming what's been on this site for a few days now. When was the meeting to agree this some Doms seemed to know score before meeting.Or did the CWU sit on this news for a while and keep members in the dark
