Just Started WS in our office

Hi This week unnounced we started WS

Normally we have a few walk sorted bundles at the start of the week and around 8+ later from wed onwards

We are it seems the first list on the WS drop

So far we have had only 2 boxes to walk prep and seem to be waiting around and still doing IPS

I have been counting what was in the grey box and it seems to be quite a varied amount, today had 293 letters

What is the average as I am sure our dom will try and deflate figure's when it comes to it.

"Not sure it saves time as having only 2 trays it has been quite light,"
Though when doing top frame it made my arm ache so I switched the mail around so I took a bit from the back and front to
eleviate the ache so as to prep the middle and lower frame

I will come back to this thread after t/morrow to see if we got any more mail in boxes

Does it save you time?

Yes, havent seen any figures for how much quicker per X amount of letters but when my D.O tried for 2 weeks I found on the busy Thursdays it was saving 15-20 mins.

All depends on how mail any one frame normally gets and the % of letter mail that is sequenced. .

Royal Mail claimed (on national television) that "80% of all letters are now walk sequenced".............
utter garbage, never more than 40% in our office (one tray per frame), on a good day.

we have had the WS in now for 8 weeks and al tell ye wat what a load of s**t it is av been gettin trays down whith all differet post codes in and also when your on a run with the numbers suddenly you start to get someone elses road in ye office hahaha what a load of crap it is our boss says teethin problems well why is it seem to be north west then

we have ws in our office and it does save time not the 30 minutes they say though i would average the savings to 15-20 mins max but on the negative side your arm ache's like f*uck when your on the top row....can see the rsi claims now.....

as mentioned it does hurt ye arm very and also it does save time about 15_20 mins pendin what calls you have got on average say 550 _600 calls

Tell your DOM to get his APLUS up to date

m8 our boss doesnt do the a plus hes got a arse kisser of a postman well dom support which lost its title 4 years ago to do it what a w@@@@@ he is aswell he was out one day and someone had said to him can i speek to your boss please and he went its ok speek to me am deputy manager so funny we all cudnt stop laughin wot a knob

Does the DOM not understand that if he does not put the problems right he will not unlock the benefits, what does your rep say?

m8 dont get me wrong our boss is sound i can say he is one of the lads we have a buzz with him he nose the score used to be a postman in our office even trained me up and no am not up his arse he prob does look at the a plus and for our rep hes sound he hates this postie as well our office runs well m8 targets all the time and we have a crack think it all comes down to the mail centre staff on the WS machines cockin it up prob still gettin trained on them
