im in the process of applying for a job :Very Happy and basically have to give them an idea of what notice royal fail would need in me leaving them, i am on a 24 hr contract btw

It should be in your contract but standard notice required in RM is 7 Days.

well i havent really got a contract at hand, but i never signed the 24hr contract when being made up from a 1hr. :pray

Just ring in and say you've got another job...........what they gonna do, sack you! lol

7 days as TBT says but if it affects your chances then think about yourself mate :)

never tell potential new employers you hardly need to give your present ones any notice,it looks bad.aweek is usually acceptable for both.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

i would phone in sick and give them the weeks notice there so you would have worked your last day. That would be my 7 days notice of me.
