As one of the life time trade unionists who has come out of the ranks,regarding this issue, i feel sorry for any unit rep who has this to contend with...... Local revisions are planned as part of deal yet still this morning on a quite heavy day about 20% of posties in our office were stood outside the managers door 20 to 30 minitues waiting for the locker to open after refusing to do absorbtion because they didn't have time ..... Some of these still come in early but the manager doesn't see that as he comes in between 7 and 8, he only sees 25 posties x 20 mins per day of savings and probably thinks they are going home early as well as they are throwed out early hence even more savings..... Talk about shooting yourself in the foot and these clowns will be crying yet again when the rounds are made even bigger!!! How can any rep put up a good fight against savings when this still goes on, most of these are also doing the job in their car, running about taking short cuts etc to make matters worse, giving a completely false impression when a revision is in the offing...... I beleive in working at a fair speed and doing the job properly not giving managers reasons to increase workloads to un fair rates how blind are some

You are 100% right , however this should be a moot point if RM & the CWU are true to their words because the outdoor & indoor issue
should be resolved once the standards have been agreed using BSI & Geo-route & Delivery Methods.

Still coming in early, running round,using cars and now the manager has implemented major changes starting today without the union being involved at any time.SO F#CK ALL HAS CHANGED. And the saddest thing is as an office we voted against the deal but we now appear to accept what ever the manager is doing without agreement.

is now not the time to be selfish colleagues.
if your workload takes you to your time then so be it.
If however, as i have infered from your posts, you are being treated differently to others within your office why not persue an individual grievance. Acompany this with times, dates and if possible supporting papaerwork
i.e. rostas and 552's, anything, that in your opinion would assist your case.
your grievance would be/is that you are being treated differently to other and you would just like to be treated the same, no better or worse just the same.
Now if that then results in your in your opinion to your level of treatment being raised to theirs or alternatively their level of treatment being reduced to yours then so be it.

around 75% of full timers in our office start work about 30 mins early EVERY DAY.......not to mention the part timers who probably come in about an hour early EVERY DAY 95%. are these people STUPID...oh then they complain that no one is getting made up to full time......WHAT IS THE POINT WHEN RM KNOW THAT YOU'LL DO IT FOR FREE!!!!!!

Instead of this Just tell your work mates to go in on time and put £7.50 on your managers desk. Or if you like tell them to give your manager £37.50 a week so they can start work on time
