Weeks Leave

I need a week off next month and the leave for that week is full. Is there any way I can get round it? If I say I will take it unpaid do they have to let me go?

AFAIK and I may be wrong - No they don't have to accept it if you offer to take it unpaid.

The simple solution is to try and find someone willing to swap - I have done it a few times.

Just suggest to your DOM he can lapse a duty whilst your off - he'll snatch your hand off :dance :dance

If you have a child under 5 , your're entitled to 13 weeks unpaid up to the childs 5th birthday, maximum 4 weeks per year.
