Ive been a member for a few years now and last week saw the "discount" that royal mail members are entitled to.

Turns out that the 10% discount is only if you choose the most expensive package no discount if like me ,you only have a limited membership.

Thanks royal mail... oh how Lucky we are that this firm offers us such great discounts. Looking at the some of the other discounts too today and noticed up to 40% off sharp TV's...so had a little look at what discounts available.. turns out just the 1 deal... namely a .. 46" LCD TV...with discount comes to £650...a quick google finds the same TV for £670...OK it a bit cheaper but hardly a "Great deal".

What is that company that offers electricals to RM staff at a decent discount?

Baring in mind the amount of us (ok,well there used to be a lot of us lol) the discount deals our beloved company search out for us is fecking kack!

When I worked at B&Q there was a scheme called "Bringme" and they actually had really good deals like 10% off at play.com and cdwow.com, discounts on hotels at alton towers etc (saved us about £70 on a room for 2 nights) etc. They were WORTH having.

Most of the "deals" in the back of the courier I can't afford anyway! I'm not booking holidays, I don't want to join a gym, I don't want to hire a car or cycle2work (mainly cos I'm working at an office 28 miles away on the other side of a few mountains!!) so I don't even bother looking anymore.

Their Car insurance Deal is the best!
When I used my car and needed b1 use on it they could not understand why I needed buisness use on it ,way more expensive than many other companies even after discount ,same with Travel insurance very expensive.

Bit like the B&Q vouchers that look good but the stores offer 10% on certain days anyway. If you have a reward card you get an even better deal.

This is the first week I haven't paid a union sub in 27 years, and just like giving up smoking 6 years ago I have never noticed being better off Exactly how much is a lap dance these days - just in the interests of research of course.

Best "discount" we get is free entry to English Heritage properties. Well, it's great if you're into history and such (which luckily I am..). They don't really advertise it, but it's a great free way to spend your day off!

Just turn up with your id card. Quite a decent saving if you go to a few off them. I have got 3 adults and 3 kids in free on mine before.
