Going To Monthly Pay...

What's happening with going to monthly pay for everyone and are we still likely to get a bonus for doing this....?

Wouldn't sending out one wage slip per month instead of four be cheaper? And our money could be sitting in RM bank account for longer earning them masses and masses of interest.

lol why don't they go the way that Virgin Media do with their e-bills and just send us our wage~slips to our e~mail addresses, thus saving an even greater amount which they should do!!! plus with the money they save doing so - split the difference between every Post~Person and add that extra on to our hourly rate....

With all the Spin that goes on it would send the wrong "message" to corporate customers and confidence would be lost, leading to a loss in revenue. Nice idea (spreading the money around) but just can't see it happening.

work at an office of maybe 45 staff, and probably 30 of them dont know what a laptop looks like

Many years ago when Scottish Power moved to monthly pay they paid the whole staff one months wages on the final weekly pay day.
This was to get them to agree to the change .So they had a months wages as a bonus. Don't worry though as it's not happening, weekly pay is here to stay.

Are you sure ? Because if their next wage packet didn't come until a month later, all Scottish Power did was move the staff from being paid 'in arrears,' to being paid their wages in advance. A con many employers have used over the years. They pay you upfront for your basic pay, and pay any overtime done in that month on the NEXT month's wages. If you leave the firm part-way through the month, they then deduct any un-earned pay from your final wages
