Ballot Papers

As so many papers were either not sent ,lost or whatever why is this result allowed to stand and not null and void ???

While I disagree with the result, I find it incredable that 50,000 plus people didn't vote or were unable, even more so that it was a postal vote anyway in view of the fact it was to do with the post and is open to "lost " papers . Surely it would have been better as a internet or telephone vote ?

if someone had the time and money and the will im sure they could go to court and get a juditial review against the ballot result. i work in a unit of 45 and 7 didnt get a ballot paper so i imagine over the country it would soon amount to thousands!

Absolutely.
The only winners were/are Royal Mail and the CWU. The workforce lost out again, as usual.

I would like to know why there was nothing on the envelope that contained the DVD that also read 'ballot paper inside'

It took me 3 goes to find mine as it had stuck to the back of the leaflet inside

it was only the return envelope inside that made me look again

i know alot of peeps just chucked the envelope away without opening it as they did not realise it contained a ballot paper

2.7 The complainants also cited Conference Motion 11 from the same paper,which noted ‘with dismay’ the apparent lack of response and absence of concern from both the General Secretary’s Department and the Unity Security Balloting in respect of ballot papers found unopened in Yorks(sic) “At Wolverhampton Mail Centre on the ‘Way Forward Agreement’.”The motion was carried.

The judge rejected the members complaints, but in respect of conference motion 11 (unopened papers) did this ever get properly investigated? And in respect of members not receiving ballot papers, deja vu anyone?

I find it funny that the cwu and royal mail asked its members and workforce how they felt by asking them to vote yes? Guys, do you really think our votes were even counted............. Ballots have been fixed since people in power entertained their slaves sorry, their commoners sorry, workers. Again may i point out that my last vote was not counted as a manager had hid, sorry 'delayed' all of our offices ballot papers. Didnt the bbc get in trouble for fixing votes? Did not also Itv get in trouble for fixing live telephone votes.
For the record i agree with anyone that suggests that agreements should be on a national level and 'not' at a divided local level.
Are we the not all as one - Divided we fall ?
