Any date for the first strike???????
When will the first strike take place? Management are sure to start the old bullying and harassment again (did it ever stop) and will the CWU back it?

One of our guys got suspended last week........very dubious so the staff have asked the rep to contact branch and ask for a rule13 ballot to take place.

Why do people think that leaving the union will solve all problems, if anything it will make things worse. Get behind the union (your local rep) and unite. Unity is strength, as the saying goes, united we stand, divided we fall. :lfo :cfo :mfo

P.S time for another poll, along the lines of if Big B and Big D stepped down would folks be liklier to stay in the Union, and would those who left rejoin.

Why do people think that paying £150+ a year to the CWU will get you improved terms and coditions ?cantbelieveit's... wrote:Why do people think that leaving the union will solve all problems, if anything it will make things worse. After all look at the last couple of agreements, we have been GIVING AWAY hard fought for workplace rights and added extra work, just so that the precent leadership of the CWU could give them all back to RM in exchange for a few £££.
As the new saying goes,"with billy in charge, whats the point"

No, leaving the innept CWU won't solve any of the problems postal workers face, but it's becoming increasingly clear that staying with the inept CWU won't make a gnat's piss worth of difference, either.cantbelieveit's... wrote:Why do people think that leaving the union will solve all problems, if anything it will make things worse. On that basis, it makes sound common sense for people to savethemselves £156.52 per annum.

Strikes and executive action are to become a thing of the past with the adoption of 2010 and Beyond.jockstrapp wrote:When will the first strike take place? Management are sure to start the old bullying and harassment again (did it ever stop) and will the CWU back it?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Any date for the first strike???????
I would have reservations TBH, there is a lot more wrong with this union than the leadership. Lets be honest to get rid of one set to be replaced by yet another of the same ilk wouldn't achieve anything.stokes11eg wrote:P.S time for another poll, along the lines of if Big B and Big D stepped down would folks be liklier to stay in the Union, and would those who left rejoin.
The whole organisation needs to be looked at root and branch.
