One of our guys got suspended last week........very dubious so the staff have asked the rep to contact branch and ask for a rule13 ballot to take place.

The only thing we acheived by standing by this union was to allow THEM to divide (seperate local office agendas--
where'sthe unity in that? )They, along with R/M are responsible for the decline ,fall and division in the ranks and the job.

Why do people think that paying £150+ a year to the CWU will get you improved terms and coditions ?
After all look at the last couple of agreements, we have been GIVING AWAY hard fought for workplace rights and added extra work, just so that the precent leadership of the CWU could give them all back to RM in exchange for a few £££.
As the new saying goes,"with billy in charge, whats the point"

No, leaving the innept CWU won't solve any of the problems postal workers face, but it's becoming increasingly clear that staying with the inept CWU won't make a gnat's piss worth of difference, either.
On that basis, it makes sound common sense for people to savethemselves £156.52 per annum.

Strikes and executive action are to become a thing of the past with the adoption of 2010 and Beyond.

I would have reservations TBH, there is a lot more wrong with this union than the leadership. Lets be honest to get rid of one set to be replaced by yet another of the same ilk wouldn't achieve anything.

The whole organisation needs to be looked at root and branch.
