What If... (Door to Door)

I have been thinking about the door to door leaflets, and how we are all about to be well screwed over, and something occurred to me.

In my town, we often get these little booklets through our doors advertising local services and the like, imagine if the door to door leaflets came this way instead, in booklet form?

It might be easier to handle than hundreds of little leaflets, perhaps easier to deliver as well?

What do you think of that? Do you think it might work, or would it be a disaster, as we all know that Royal Mail management would find some way to screw it up!

Well would be easier to deliver Not sure how it would work though.

There was talk of the weeks leaflets being placed in one envelope which makes sense.
But alas i can see myyself coming in each day to a box of leaflets on the frame.

I can see myself coming in each day to there being eighteen boxes of leaflets on my frame!

that would be a lot better to prep and carry , why not mention this to the powers to be. all in 1 booklet and they could have regular customers.

It is a good idea, we deliver an A4 size booklet at the end of every month ideal for putting other d2d inside not allowed I know but sod it, although they are quite heavy they're so much easier to deliver . The good thing is though now d2d is part of the workload I don't care how many I get, because in our office when anybody cuts off managment phone a member of the late staff, who never have to do d2d but still get the delivery supplement, to see if they will come in early on overtime to do the bags which we are leaving . So leave the bags which contain d2d and still get the money, now managment cannot play the flexibillity card because we will be working to our time every day so we will owe them jackshit in terms of time, and no matter what, they can't make you work past your contracted hours, so now its a case of coming in doing what you have to do, have your allotted break see what time it gets to work up to your time go home I've always said this job can be as hard or easy as you make it, I plan to make it as easy as possible

Seen something similar in Orlando for tourists, booklet offering vouchers for Restaurants &
theme parks etc, could work, like a coupon booklet offering various services , offers etc

We do something similar in Huddersfield - its called HD Connect and there is even a web site for it as well

Yea I get this type of leaflet through my door every month.

Its great 'cause it makes it so easy to throw away.

Rather than 12 pieces of paper in my bin theres only 1.

I hope RM go this way...oh hang on...wouldnt the unions claim of job security for d2d into workload be in the bin with them?

The Royal Mail could sell advertising space in it, and perhaps put puzzles and stuff in as well, they would probably have to publish it themselves, but might this actually be more profitable for them?
