£20.60 supplement for collection drivers in Delivery units

Does anyone know if you get the £20.60 for collection staff? We used to be a separate collection hub working in a do but managed by distribution. So had nothing to do with the delivery office. From this April we are now managed by the delivery unit manager no longer distribution. To maintain full time jobs we are looking at cross functional working. So are we tagged to the do and get the twenty quid? Or because we are not doing their work we get the eight. Can understand if we only get the £ 8 as we have not lost dd2 or a shift awollance

It's an "Under the roof" agreement, if you work in a delivery office you get the twenty pounds.

Just because management have change who holds the budget for collections in all areas apart from London does not mean you will recieve the supplement linked to deliveries.

From the first week in April all Royal Mail regions apart from London changed who controls collections. It us be the Regional Processing Director , it is now the Collections and Delivery Director. In London this will transfer over from next April.

However the £20.60 will not be paid to collections drivers unless they perfrom delivery work. As you are looking in the future to do cross functional working then once you do that work you will recieve the supplement.

At present my understand is that you only perform collection work and therefore until you perform delivery work you will recieve the £8.

Remember the delivery supplement is not new money and was designed around the numbers in delivery offices at the time and that is why it was £20.60. However that will also be paid to new recurits and other existing employees once they start doing delivery work.

Many distribution workers have already agreed to do delivery work and therefore they will get the £20.60.

Why is London next April for changeover and is agreeing to do delivery work the SAME as actually delivering?
