Part time leave reserves.

Don't know if this has been asked before.

If a part time reserve covers a full time duty will he/she be entitled to the full £20.60 every week they do 40 hours?

I will be very surprised if they do, i would imagine the del sup goes only off their contracted hours, and even if it was the case they should get the full £20.60 most doms will try their best not to pay the full amount.

I dont know the definitive answer this is only my personal opinion.

But do some of you remember that some part timers won the right to have their holiday allowance upped because they were always working well over their contracted hrs.

There could be something here for this as well.

the only way of getting what is rightly yours is to take them to a tribunal, so in most cases u would do this after employment. As we all know royal mail dont do fairness and if they can save money even if its illegal they will do and either cover it up or repay whats owed.

I think it was pay not allowance, allowance is based on length of service and you can purchase extra A/L.

It wasn't pay because he would have been paid for the hours worked whatever the contract was.

What they managed to get was the extra holiday entitlement due if the hours worked across the period was consistent with the actual holiday entitlement as if the contract was for full time or 30 hours instead of 20 or so on and so forth but I think it was a test case on a 1 hour contract - anyway it was days holiday and not pay.
